Reaffirming our commitment to quality

Reafirmamos nuestro compromiso con la calidad

Vallformosa, best sparkling producer of the year, has continued on its path to a more sustainable and high quality production, extending its organic sparkling wine portfolio and reinforcing its commitment to transparency and traceability, by adding the mention "Comtats de Barcelona" to identify the area of its DO cava.

These changes are already reflected on the labels of Mistinguett Sparkling Brut, Brut Nature and Semiseco and, starting June 1, Mistinguett Rosé will be added.

Also from June 1, Origen Brut Reserva, Brut Nature Reserva and Semiseco will be available on the labels, followed by Origen Rosé on September 1, which completes the portfolio of organic sparkling wines that began with Fest Brut and Fest Brut Nature.

Rich Mediterranean Vineyards

The new DO Cava regulations distinguish different regions and sub-regions to identify the origin of the grapes. "Comtats de Barcelona" groups the beating heart of cava, which concentrates more than 95% of the production.

The Valleys and depressions of the former County of Barcelona share the territory and the typical characteristics of the Mediterranean environment. Its vineyards offer optimal conditions for good grape ripening allowing the production of different high quality grape varieties.

Sustainable and responsible bubbles

At Vallformosa, we have been working the land with care and love for more than 150 years. We can' t understand our profession in any other way. That is why we control the entire production process, from the vineyard to the bottle, and we press all the grape must in-house to ensure its quality and traceability. We are pioneers in 100% vegan wines and cavas.

In recent years, thanks to our commitment to innovation, we have implemented (and continue to implement) changes towards a more sustainable and responsible production. We use 40% less water than the average in our sector, recycle more than 90% of waste generated and use sustainable energy in our entire production line, among other measures.

We also began a process to move towards organic agriculture, which now culminates with these changes that we are pleased to announce and share with you today, convinced that we are united by the same commitment to quality and sustainability.
