The magnificence of Xarel·lo
At 286 metres above sea level, this Xarel·lo grows with the vigour of a variety that feels at home in its natural environment, its soil, its climate… The vineyard is located in Vilafranca del Penedès, under the Sant Jaume mountain, it was planted in 1969 and is grown in goblet-trained plots.

Alcoholic content: 12% Vol.
Residual sugar: 1,2 g/L
Harvest: Manual with grape selection in the vineyard in mid-September.
Fermentation: Meticulous fermentation process: one-third of the wine comes to life in stainless steel tanks, another third in elegant French concrete eggs, and the final third matures in new 300-litre French oak barrels with a gentle toasting for 6 months.
View: A visual delight in hues of pale yellow, with golden and greenish glints. Its clarity and transparency are irresistible.
Aromas: Intense notes of ripe fruit such as peach and apricot, with a hint of lemon. The wood contributes subtle notes of vanilla and cedar, and with time, the wood becomes more apparent, while the fruit continues to predominate.
Taste:: Refreshing acidity with citrus and spring stone fruits. The body is substantial, with excellent balance and a prolonged finish. The oak unfolds at the end, along with saline and raw almond nuances.
An exceptionally gastronomic wine that complements dishes such as flavourful and oily turbot, “fricandó” with mushrooms, or duck with raisins and pine nuts. It is also the ideal choice to indulge in oysters or red prawns. Serve between 8°C and 9°C to maximise its flavours and complexity.
